Gemini Live

Google has finally ended its drought of news around Gemini this week and released two updates that might make it slightly more interesting to use, helping users feel like they aren’t wasting $20 a month on their subscription.

More Google Apps

This is something I’ve been waiting for with Gemini for a long time. Soon, you’ll be able to interact with Google Keep, Google Tasks, and Google Calendar. I think this update could change how people use Gemini, making it a much more popular tool. So many people and businesses use the Google suite of software, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets. If Google can nail the integration with these apps, Gemini could take on a new, more significant role in people's lives. Let's take a look at one of the demos involving calendar integration.

In this video, we can see the presenter take a photo and ask if any of these dates are good for them on their calendar.

The final update of the event was Gemini Live. Live is a feature that allows you to have a free flowing conversation with Gemini. Its better to look at a demo so lets take a look.

There could be some interesting use cases of this technology. We will have to see how good it is and how well it works but this looks very promising. It doesn’t feel as fluid as ChatGPT Voice mode. But, still impressive from Google.
